Nowadays Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have GNSS sensors determining the photocenters of aerial photographs with accuracy of 1 cm. This results in the production of photogrammetric products and consequently topographic diagrams and large-scale 3D-models with the use of a few Ground Control Points (GCPs), mainly for check purposes. These 3D-models, in addition to the compilation of topographic diagrams, provide the possibility of color imaging of the morphology of the terrain, serving geologists in their study for better and safer utilization of the quarries.
