Team
We have worked together since 2004 and founded MAPS in 2007. We survey everything from plots and private properties to industrial plants, road networks, streams, lake and river beds, castles, stone bridges and monasteries. We establish and adjust geodetic control networks and provide survey support on industrial and other construction sites. We work across Greece, including Mount Athos, and abroad: in Cyprus, the Balkans and across Europe. The two founders follow every project from start to finish, together with the office team of engineers and technicians.

Rural and Surveying Engineer, co-founder
Rural and Surveying Engineer, graduate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with an MBA from the University of Macedonia (2017).
The company’s design consultant: through his licence, MAPS holds a Class B licence for public-works studies (Greek register of consultants) in the categories Topographic studies (16) and Environmental studies (27). He coordinates the studies and the delivery of projects.
Ilias Pontikas
Surveying Engineer, co-founder
Surveying Engineer (TEI of Athens), with a master’s degree in Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Licensed unmanned aircraft systems pilot (Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority), with experience in drone surveys since 2015. He is responsible for the aerial photogrammetry and LiDAR surveys.
Our team
Behind every project there is a steady team of collaborators. Surveying engineers, field crews and drone pilots carry out the measurements, while the office handles data processing, drawings and quality control before delivery. Many of them have worked with us for years and know our equipment and methods in depth.
The office
Our office is in Pylaia, Thessaloniki. All data processing, drawing and checking before delivery takes place there.
